Toledo's Runway Rivalry

Applications are accepted starting June 1, 2011 and ending on June 23, 2011. Applications must be submitted via the official website. Public voting begins on June 24, 2011 and concludes on July 31, 2011. The winners will be announced on August 13, 2011  at the Clay Walker concert, the Northwest Ohio Rib-off, Lucas County Recreation Center. Winners must be present at the live event.

1. Participant must be 15 years of age by September 24, 2011 in order to be eligible to participate in the Runway Rivalry. You must provide proof of identification and birth date, and you (or if under age 18, a parent/guardian) must sign any required releases and documentation, prior to any winner presentation and awarding of prizes.
2. There are two categories: Female and Male.
3. Only one application per person. There is no fee to enter.
4. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States. Applicants must be amateurs.
   The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and the voting public (online and/or live). Voting procedures and methods are at the discretion of the contest organizers. All decisions are final.
   The winners will appear in the EPIC Rocks Fashion Show at the Grand Aire Hangar at the Toledo Express Airport on September 24, 2011. See rules index for complete list of prizes.
5. The winners will be announced on August 13, at the Clay Walker concert, Northwest Ohio Rib-off, Lucas County Recreation Center, August 13, 2011.

   • Round Two - July 15, 2011, Top 10 selected
   • Final Round – August 13, 2011 4 Winners, Judges Choice one female and one male, Popular Vote one female and one male
6. Incomplete applications may be disqualified. Applications must be accompanied by digital photos uploaded in a JPG (under 100K each) to THE BLADE’s “Runway Rivalry” website. Any photo deemed inappropriate by the contest organizers will be cause for immediate disqualification. Male and female photos in swimsuits will only be allowed if they are full coverage bikinis only. Any inappropriate or less than full coverage photos of any kind on the site may result in immediate disqualification from the competition. Contestants may not submit any photos or other materials in which they or any third party claim a copyright. Applicants are asked to refrain from using their last name in their username and any photo titles. The contest is open to the public, both live and online, any behavior deemed inappropriate by the contest chair will be cause for immediate disqualification and removal from the contest. Ruling of the contest organizer is final.
7. Each winner must attend training sessions to prepare for their appearance at the EPIC Rocks Fashion Show on September 24th. If a selected winner does not attend, then the winner will forfeit and a runner-up will be awarded Runway Rivalry winner.
8. Refusal to abide by these rules or refusal to sign any document reasonably related to the performance of the applicant's obligations set out herein shall result in disqualification and an alternate winner being chosen.
9. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes associated with the prizes.
10. Rules, schedules, prizes, and event locations are subject to change or revision without notice.
11. Previous winners are not eligible to  participate in the contest.
12. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE BLADE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
13. The contest organizers reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify anyone he or she finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest; to violate these rules; or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.
14. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the contest, applicants agree that THE BLADE and EPIC Rocks Fashion, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, web site providers, web masters, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by applicants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the contest; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the contest. Use of contest websites by all site visitors is subject to The Blade’s privacy statement and visitor agreement.
    BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST,APPLICANTS AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY APPLICANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF PRIZES, APPLICATION MATERIALS, OR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST OR IN ANY CONTEST RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY.
15. Publicity. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, APPLICANTS GRANT TO THE BLADE (WHICH GRANT WILL BE CONFIRMED IN WRITING ON REQUEST OF THE BLADE), ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, RETAILERS, DISTRIBUTORS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, SUPPLIERS, AND THOSE ACTING PURSUANT TO ITS AUTHORITY, THE RIGHT AND PERMISSION TO PRINT, PUBLISH, BROADCAST, AND USE, WORLDWIDE IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB, AT ANY TIME OR TIMES, EACH APPLICANT’S NAME, PORTRAIT, PICTURE, VOICE, LIKENESS, AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION FOR ADVERTISING, TRADE, AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES (INCLUDING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS OR HER NAME ON TELEVISION OR RADIO BROADCAST) WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION, COMPENSATION, PERMISSION, OR NOTIFICATION. APPLICANTS AGREE THAT THE BLADE SHALL OWN ALL APPLICATION DATA AND MATERIALS, WHICH WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED OR RETURNED, AND THAT THE BLADE AND ITS DESIGNEES SHALL HAVE THE PERPETUAL, WORLDWIDE RIGHT TO EDIT, PUBLISH, AND USE THE APPLICATION DATA AND MATERIALS IN ANY WAY AND IN ANY MEDIA FOR TRADE, ADVERTISING, PROMOTIONAL, AND/OR OTHER PURPOSES AS SPONSOR AND/OR ITS DESIGNEES MAY DETERMINE WITHOUT FURTHER CONSIDERATION TO APPLICANTS OR ANY THIRD PARTY.
16. Disputes. Except where prohibited, applicant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division or the Court of Common Pleas of Lucas County, Ohio; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will applicants be permitted to obtain awards for, and applicant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, or the rights and obligations of the applicant and sponsors in connection with the contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without reference to conflict of law principles.

Runway Rivalry Participation and
Eligibility Requirements and Code of Conduct 2011

Please note: the following eligibility requirements and terms must be met in order to participate in any or all of events under the name Runway Rivalry. This form must be signed in order to participate.

1. Participant must be 15 years of age by September 24, 2011 in order to be eligible to participate in the Runway Rivalry. If participant is under the age of 18, he/she must have a parent or guardian present at any and all events under the Runway Rivalry.
2. Under no circumstance is the participant allowed to consume/conceal alcohol or illegal substances at any event that is under the name Runway Rivalry (i.e, practices, dress rehearsals, media appearances or the Runway Rivalry events). Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate dismissal and termination of eligibility of participant.
3. Winners of the Runway Rivalry will not be paid additional moneys to be in the show. Any prizes won are non-transferrable or exchangeable for a dollar amount.
4. Participants must attend at least one casting call in order to be considered eligible to win the Runway Rivalry.
5. All participants must sign a photo/video release agreement. If participant is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must sign a photo/video release agreement. Photos and or video of event may be used in future website and event promotions.
6. At the casting calls and competition rounds of the Runway Rivalry, NO ONE (parents, friends, etc.) will be permitted behind stage.
7. Failure to comply with any of these items will result in immediate dismissal of participation in the Runway Rivalry.

 EPIC Rocks Fashion Participation and
Eligibility Requirements and Code of Conduct 2011

Please note: the following eligibility requirements and terms must be met in order to participate in any or all of events under the name EPIC Rocks Fashion as a paid model on September 24, 2011.

1. 
   Participant must be 15 years of age by September 24, 2011 in order to be eligible to participate in and EPIC Rocks Fashion.
2. Under no circumstance is the participant allowed to consume/conceal alcohol or illegal substances at any event that is under the name EPIC Rocks Fashion (i.e, practices, dress rehearsals, media appearances or the EPIC Rocks Fashion event). Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate dismissal and termination of eligibility of participant.
3. Winners of Runway Rivalry will not be paid additional moneys to be in the EPIC Rocks Fashion event. Any prizes won are non-transferrable or exchangeable for a dollar amount.
4. All participants must sign a photo/video release agreement. If participant is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must sign a photo/video release agreement. Photos and or video of event may be used in future website and event promotions.
5. Participant must attend any and all practices held by choreographer. Lack of attendance could result in termination of eligibility.
6. Under no circumstances will guests (parents, friends, etc.) be allowed behind stage or in the Grand Aire Hangar offices. This includes ticketed guests of the show.
7. Hair and makeup is at the discretion of the salon and staff. Models may not alter hair or makeup in anyway before or during the show.
8. Models are expected to respect and take care of all retailer clothing items that they wear during all rehearsals and EPIC Rocks Fashion. If clothing is damaged, models are responsible for paying for the items.
9. Failure to comply with any of these items will result in immediate dismissal of participation in EPIC Rocks Fashion and forfeit of any payment due.
